Dirk Martin


Dirk MartinDirk Martin graduated as a historian at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) where he presented a doctoral thesis on the local political personnel in the interwar period.
He was a junior researcher at the National Foundation for Scientific Research and has been a researcher at the Centre since 1979 where he is head of the documentation department. He has been a member of various executive committees and associations in the scientific sector. His fields of research concern  Belgian foreign policy before, during and after the Second World War, local  politics in the interwar period, several aspects (especially of cultural politics) of the history of the occupation and the sources concerning the history of Belgium during the Second World War.
