Nel de Mûelenaere
Nel de Mûelenaere (1984) studied contemporary history at the University
of Gent and graduated in 2006 with a dissertation on German and British
regimental histories during the First World War. In 2008 she obtained a
Master degree in Political Sciences with a study on the influence of the
Great War on British foreign policy on the eve of the Second World War.
In the summer of 2007, Nel participated with five other researchers in a
joint research project of the Ceges/Soma and the Jewish Museum for
Deportation and Resistance. A preparatory study was made on neglected
victims of the German repression in Belgium during the Second World
War. Since January 2010 she works as an assistant for the department Scientific Activities and Publications of the Ceges/Soma.
