Mathieu Roeges

 Mathieu Roeges (°1980) has a licentiate in contemporary history from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) where he has been an assistant in the department of Information Technology since September 2010.

He joined the team of Cegesoma in 2007 in the context of a project to search for archives, “L'idée belge et l'antiséparatisme dans la seconde moitié du XXe siècle”. From 2008 to 2010, he worked as researcher on the project “L'enseignement secondaire général en Belgique pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale dans une perspective comparative”. Since March 2011 he has been the assistant to the department head of the Documentation sector and in charge of the collections of the Belgrade depot of Cegesoma. Since 1 February 2014, he also coordinates the project “Vers une innovation technologique en sciences humaines: recherche d'une indexation automatisée. La banque d'images du CEGESOMA comme testcase".


His principal areas of research are the judicial repression of collaboration, the history of education and the impact of ICT in the social sciences.
