Jens van de Maele

Jens van de Maele (°1985) studied history at the universities of Leuven and Vancouver. Between 2009 and 2012, he was a teaching assistant at the KU Leuven. From 2012 until 2016, he worked as doctoral researcher at Ghent University (Department of Architecture and Urban Planning). His PhD dissertation, which will be defended over the course of 2018, deals with the cultural history of Belgian governmental office buildings during the 20th century.

Currently, at CegeSoma, he provides research assistance for an upcoming exhibition project on refugees in the Belgian capital during the last months of the Great War.
