Bénédicte Rochet

Bénedicte Rochet (°1976) has a PhD in history from the Université de Namur (2004). Her thesis was entitled: “Des actualités filmées au service de l'Histoire. La propagande audiovisuelle d'un gouvernement belge en état de siège (1940-1945)". She also holds a secondary school teaching degree from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) as well as a DES in European Studies (IEE-UCL).
She worked on two research projects while at Cegesoma from February 2000 until January 2006. The first focused on ‘The Belgian administration during the Second World War: Shelter and safe haven for Modernisation’. The second project was entitled ‘The news of a freed world…. The film press in Belgium from 1941-1946’.
She left Cegesoma in mid-January 2006.
