Benoît Majerus (°1975) holds a doctorate in history from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. His doctoral thesis  ‘Occupations et logiques policières. La police communale bruxelloise pendant les Première et Deuxième Guerres mondiales (1914-1918 et 1940-1944)’ studied the attitude of municipal police forces during the German occupations of Brussels in WW1 and WW2 .

He was hired in January 2001 by CEGES for the research project : ‘War and Violence : A Comparative Approach to Two World Wars’.

He left CEGES on 31 December 2004.
