Anne-Catherine Pardon is a FWO-predoctoral researcher at the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit in Leuven and at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In the context of her master thesis in Theology and Religious Studies (ETF, Leuven), she did research on anti-semitism in the work of the German theologian Gerhard Kittel (1888-1948). In her master thesis in Language and Literature (VUB, Brussels), she focuses on the discriminatory language in the prefaces of the Italian fascist Telesio Interlandi (1894-1965) in the journal “La Difesa della Razza”. In her present research, she identifies the ideology of Gerhard Kittel on the basis of a discourse analysis and evaluates it within the (nazi) context of the time.
